After years of work. Countless hours of tweaking. Trial after trial. Launching aspect climate projects was big for us, and hopefully the world of footwear too.
Our aim is to create the world's most climate-conscious shoes, and here's a little more about them...
Introducing the ‘Suber’
Our first style, ‘Suber’ (named after the Latin for the Cork Oak) is plant-based, vegan and has a minimalist design for a timeless look.
And the best part…
…every material is scientifically verified for it’s impact on the climate and biodiversity, so you know that you’ll be wearing the next step in climate-conscious footwear.
As a start-up wanting to do things differently, selling on a pre-order basis allows us to order just the right amount of our climate-conscious materials. This means more efficiency and less waste.
After our sales window closes we'll place the order with our factory in Portugal. Your shoes will then be handcrafted and ready for delivery in around 12-14 weeks.
We of course appreciate this requires a little patience from you, but we'll keep you updated every step of the way while your shoes are being made. Your support now means that we'll be able to continue our research and testing and develop more footwear projects.
Pedro, the factory owner, has worked diligently and patiently with us whilst developing our footwear. They are a third-generation shoe-maker with a focus on quality over mass-production and strive to work with more sustainable materials and business models; a perfect partner!
aspect climate projects was created to make a difference.
For each pair of the Suber style we sell, we will be offsetting one tonne of carbon from the atmosphere by working with Ecologi.
If you missed out on our initial launch, please send us an email or DM us on Instagram and we'll be sure to let you know if any pairs become available. And if you're not able to order but want to help out, then we'd be grateful for any support you can give us - whether it's forwarding our website to others, sharing our social media pages or even chatting to others about our brand.
We would love to continue researching and developing more climate-conscious shoes and disrupting the footwear industry as we go; your support will enable us to do that.
